‘Cause you were mine for the summer
Now we know it’s nearly over
Feels like snow in September
But I always will remember
Yaay another outfit post (finallyyy)!
Summer is almost over but it feels like it’s just starting.. Still got lots of things I haven’t checked out of my Summer projects list but I still got 2 weeks to squeeze them all into so!
I re-watched the movie “The Notebook” earlier last week and of course, even for the nth time, it still didn’t fail to overflow myself with mushiness. I was kind of contemplating the story when suddenly a familiar song started to play in my mind. (Click the flower icon for a good treat!)
Luke 17:4 Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.
Why you must forgive? Why forgive people even if they are not sorry?
Matthew 26:28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 10:17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
Colossians 1:13-14 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Acts 10:43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
1 John 2:12 I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
Colossians 2:13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins…
Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Jesus bore ALL our sins. He suffered and died in our place. And through his death ALL our sins were forgiven and we were given grace that anyone who believes in God is now a new creation, “the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Why forgive? He forgave us even if we’re not sorry, and loved us even if we don’t love him back. Forgiveness isn’t obligatory anymore, when Paul said, “Forgive as the Lord forgave you”, he wanted us to dig into why God forgave us. He loves us. And God wants us to always remember that, so that in everything we do, we could do it with love. He doesn’t want us to just imitate Him. He doesn’t expect us to love and forgive people who wronged us because it’s obviously hard for us, only He can really do that. All He wants is for us to experience and remain in His love and that may His love be the reason as to how we can love and forgive. So why forgive? Because our Dad loves you beyond compare!
